CASE is committed to recruiting, supporting and evaluating elected officials based on their support for job creation, economic growth, business development and regional competitiveness.
CASE focuses on local and state races, including the Seattle City Council, King County Council and the Port of Seattle Commission. For 2013, CASE is working with other business organizations to focus electoral discussions around economic issues. CASE plans to issue recommendations in the primary elections for Seattle mayor, Seattle City Council, King County Executive, King County Council and Port of Seattle Commission races. CASE does not issue endorsements in every race, just those members deem most important to the economy. As such, CASE may also engage in a number of other races throughout 2013.
Collaboration is part of CASE. The group works closely with a variety of business, civic and political organizations and associations to elect mutually agreeable candidates and advance issues related to job creation and economic growth.

“Seattle is a great place to live. We have terrific open spaces and a true concern for the greater good. These are all reasons why I live and work here but it needs to be balanced with a strong business community that can provide jobs and a tax base to pay for the things that are important to us.”
